Donating to the Foundation
Forty years ago, children with cystic fibrosis did not live long enough to start school. Parents of children with cystic fibrosis refused to accept this automatic death sentence for their children. They joined together to create the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and asked Canadians to join with them in raising the funds needed to begin searching for a cure to this devastating disease.
There are now almost as many young adults with cystic fibrosis as there are children living with the disease. Today, people with CF can live to be 30 or more. This is tremendous progress and could not have happened without the support of so many wonderful donors.
Please help. Every dollar you give brings the dream a little closer, and makes the hope a little stronger. That’s why there’s never been a more important time to give.

For every dollar that is raised by the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation:
- $0.73 goes directly to research, treatment and patient services.
- $0.16 goes to public education and volunteer support.
- $0.06 goes to administration and office support.
- $0.05 goes to National Fundraising costs.
